The menopause is a natural transition in the life cycle of a woman and is something that all women will experience albeit at differing ages. Embrace Menopause enables women to manage some of the many physical and emotional challenges that the menopause presents using an integrated approach that combines yoga for menopause, essential oils and mindfulness meditation techniques.
We have very different personal experiences of the menopause and this represents just how individual an experience the menopause can be Andrea, a British Wheel of Yoga Teacher, who has also completed the Menopause Yoga and Wellbeing Teacher Training, is natually entering the menopause at age 51 and Laura, who is a qualified aromatherapist with over 20 years lecturing expertise, underwent a radiation-induced menopause 12 years ago, at the age of 40, following her diagnosis of secondary breast cancer. What we share in common, is our desire to support and help other women to embrace their personal menopause journey. Both Andrea and Laura have experience in meditation and mindfulness respectively.
Our past experience of delivering wellbeing days highlighted the need for women to be able to access specialised support during their menopause in a supportive environment where personal experiences can be shared and openly discussed. Our retreats and workshops will provide a nourishing and nurturing space to develop and learn from one another.
